I have a 1988 chrysler fifth avenue 5.2 liter I am leaking coolant and I cant figure out where it is coming from the coolant is dripping off the engine right where the engine meets the transmission directly above the starter is it possible that it is actually leaking from between the engine and transmission also there is a line that goes from the top of the water pump to the rear of the engine but I do not know where exactly it leads and it is hard to get to it behind the carb so I cant tell if that is leaking where I cant see can you tell me where this line leads to on the engine and if it is possible for it to leak from between the engine and transmission thank you very much for your time (p.S. I previously thought it was the freeze plug right above the starter but that was incorrect since I changed it and its still leaking and dripping of the edge of the crank case right at the corner)

yeah thats what I was thinking I just have never heard of it leaking from between the engine and transmission I was just hoping that it might be the hose that I cant seem to get too to track down because it is right over the leak almost

I would look 1st into the manifold gasket
But also the head gasket they break by the water jacket allowing the coolant to leak out
