Owner's manual says change PCV valve every 30m miles. One dealer said "Part not Serviceable"; another said definitely do it but access is difficult (under plenum?) And total cost is $240 (also says spark plugs should be changed at the same time), another dealer says change is easy and $45.
1) How important is changing the PCV Valve on this engine?
2) How difficult and expensive is it?

If the PCV valve is actually bad, then it's important that you change it.

The dealer that quoted you $240, did that include spark plugs? If so, then that's a good deal. If not, then he's a crook.

Getting to the PCV valve is extremely easy, and the valve itself costs around 5-10 bucks.

If you were handy with a ratchet, you could do it yourself in under 5 minutes flat. If not, take it to a regular mechanic, not a dealer. The ONLY time you should ever take your car to a dealer is when it's under warranty.
