2000 Chrysler 300 ignition issues

I am having a serious problem with my ignition, when I put in my key to start the key the ignition does not turn, it just locks up. I have been having issues with this for about 2-3 months. I usually just wotk with it and it sooner or later turns and fires up. This time it is completely locked up. What is the issue?

If you have another keey try it. I have seen keys wear out. If it still doesn't work, chances are the tumbler is damaged. You can try a thin lubericant to see if that helps. If not, replace the tumbler.
