Check engine light stays on, randomly radio, touch screen and steering wheel controls stop working

While accelerating the car will hesitate. Sometimes this causes the car to jerk very hard, other times the car acts like its stuck in between gears. I have almost been hit a few times because of this. When I am stopped and go to take off it will almost stop and them jump forward real fast. Other times it just jerks a few times and takes off. This stopped once an update was done. My check engine light used to come on and go off. Now it stays on. The radio, touch screen and steering wheel controls will randomly stop working. While driving high speeds an alert pop up saying the engine temperature hot and service electronic throttle control.

Hello, I'm Danny.

This first thing to do is have the cars computer scanned to check which codes are stored in the cars computer (Check engine light). If you don't have access to a code reader/scanner most local auto parts stores will check for free. Here is a tutorial to view showing what's involved:
