The vehicle will not hold in the park position. i.e when parked on an inclined driveway, the vehicle will move down the slope. So I have to use the parking brake. How do I fix it? How much will it cost approx?

Thanks,

one of two things come to mind...1. shifter linkage is wore out and may not be putting transmission into park or two parking pin has broken and then you will have to have a tranny tech go in to it but id go with number one first.

If the shift cable is adjusted properly, then the problem is in the park pawl or internal park linkage.
