Replace thermostat, the old one was hollowed out. The van ran well enough. Now when it gets to operating temp. She has power surges while idling, and at traffic lights she dies. Have replaced a few switches, oil pressure switch, Tps, and temp. Sensor.
What is the problem, and solution or am I just suppose to hollow out another thermostat?

Just wanted to say thank you for your time, and help. Just got throught changing O2 sensor, and it didn't help. Looking for trust worthy shop that will work with someone that is laid off, and not much cash. Have a good day, and thanx again.
