Im putting in a new starer in my 1978 chevy, but
the wiring in the car is a crappy home made job by the first owner. I want to do it right but need help to fix this mess. The first owner sent the positive wire from the battery to the starter's solenoid(large terminal), but then he sent a wire from the starter's solenoid on the large terminal to a juntion of five wires, two of them go to the ignition/firewall, then three of the wires go to the alternator. On the starter solenoid there was only one wire running from the smaller two posts that went to the ignition/firewall. I also cant find any voltage regulater anywere. Please help.
