I have a 96 Chevy Cavalier with a 2.2 4 cyl with 45000 miles. The cooling light comes on when you accelerate. The engine hasn't over heated and the coolant tank in at the normal level. Why does the light come on?[/B]

Sounds like you may need a temperature sensor
