4X4 (CV) question?

I have a 98 chevy blazer w/4x4 and the front right side. The cv boot has a green oil that's splating around the boot? Dose it just need a new boot or do I have to replace the whole thing? Dont hear any sounds or feel anything from around their while driveing just seen the oil. Is that something that normaly go's bad?

The green oil is really green CV joint grease. Have the boot replaced as soon as you can to prevent damage to the joint.
