The noise I have sounds like your are rubbing 2 pieces of sand paper together and as you build speed it now sounds like an airplane taking off. The transmission does not slip and shifts like it is supposed. Cannot hear sound when in 4 wheel drive and when in reversing sound is real faint. The seal where drive line goes into transfer case was leaking a little so we replaced it. I have hade my mechanic check it out but he is not sure thinks it is probally the in the transfer case. Help please. Thank you

Noises are hard to diagnose on here, if we cna't hear them we can't really give an accurate answer. But it cold be just rust on the rotor rubbing against the caliper or braket or dust shield. As you say it doesn't happen in 4 wheel drive then have your mechanic take your wheel hubs apart and see if they are lubed enough as they are automatic and may be wearing out.
