I have a 2001 Silverado 1500, 5.3L with 123k miles. Recently my "check engine" light has been popping on and off intermittently and I just realized that it seems to go away right after I fill up my gas tank. As the tank gets lower, the light comes back on. I had the codes read at Auto Zone and the computer read "Lean Bank 1 & 2". What are some suggestions for this problem? Should I assume I have a bad fuel filter and start there, or are there other things I should check out first. Thanks!

There is a stronger presence of oxygen than fuel sensed by the o2 sensors. May be an o2 problem vacuum leak. These are common for leaking fuel pressure regulators and may also be the source.
