Service Engine Soon Light

The service engine soon light came on a while back and today we went to get inspected it did not pass.

What you need to do here is have the computer scanned for code/s this is your starting point of diagnosis and get back with the code/s we start here

Or you can do it by jumping B to A on the diagnostic link connector and read of the flashes-example DTC 12 will Flash pause Flash Flash

I thought 95 and up have a scan system, how do I have this scanned or how do they hook up to my truck, can I go to like auto zone and use one of theirs?

Ok, you said that in your first response. This helped, found out the coolant sensor was bad, all fixed now.
