Hi.
Turned truck off on friday. Got in to go to work on monday. Turned the starter and a loud "CLANG'. And the engine would not turn. The starter works but the engine will not turn. Took off the serpentine belt to hand turn things. Everything turns but the engine crankshaft pulley. Not a budge.
I know it's bad but before I rip the engine apart I could use some ideas.

I have seen the starter nose break off and lodge between the bellhousing and flywheel. What size engine does it have?

It has a 5.7, v8, auto, 4 wheel drive
would make me very happy if that was the problem.
