1998 Venture Door Locks Clicking

My 1998 Chevrolet Venture Van has a problem where the door locks will occasionally click, unlocking the doors. This happens while not running and even when driving. There doesn't seem to be a pattern. It seems to be happening more frequently now than ever.

We have tried changing the batteries in our remotes, and also ensured that the door key holes were vertical (per a recommendation from another site).

We did have other electrical problems due to a bad positive battery cable, that went away once it was replaced.

I have found on other sites that the BCM might cause it. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot and fix?

Thanks,
Scot.

My wife has a 1997 Venture that does the same thing. Sometimes the faster you drive the faster those locks keep unlocking themselves. A mechanic showed me a black fusebox type case under the dash on the passenger side. He told me the box was bad and the whole thing needed to be replaced. The cost was $300 not including the labor. I never got it replaced, for awhile it got real bad.T Then it stopped for awhile. It hasn't done it in a long time, but periodically the locks won't work at all for a few days and then their fine again. Hope this helped.
