1998 Chevy Truck won't start

I parked truck two weeks ago running fine I go out today won't start. Turns over ok but didn't act as if it a strong spark I shot a small amount of either into injectors and vehicle starts right up and runs for about five seconds then cough, spuders then dies. Any suggestion on where to start.

Since it fired up on starting fluid the spark/ignition system is good.

So I would start with checking the fuel pressure with a fuel pressure check guage at the fuel rail and get back to me with results.
