1998 Chevrolet Blazer 4 Door V6 2WD-
here's whats going on with my car. I have a
1998 Chevrolet Blazer 4 door, rear wheel drive, and its a v6. 3 Days
ago I was at the grocery store in merritt island, and My car wouldn't
start. It has a FULL tank of gas, and I tried to turn the key over,
and all it would do was try and turn over but it wouldn't start. We
had a mechanic come and look at it, and he tested the fuel pump, and
said that the fuel pump doesn't work. We've priced fuel pumps, and
their 290.00! My husband is lucky he makes that in a week. Plus we
was gonna charge 300.00 for the labor. Well we don't have that kind
of money, so we called AAA, last night and they had it towed to my
house. Now the guy was saying that its the fuel pressure
regulator? Whatever that is! Or the fuel pump regulator sencor? I'm
not sure what this guy is telling us, but we're confused. My husband
is willing to put it in his self, but we're not even exactly sure as
to what it is. We're not exaclty financially stable, so we can't risk loosing our
car, its the only thing we got. My husband paid over 3,000.00 for it,
and he worked very hard to save that money. Please if anyone could
HELP, PLEASE, let me know. THANK YOU.

Have your hubby go underneath the tank while you turn key to On -did he hear the pump for 2 sec's? If not start with the fuel pump relay then work your way to the pump electrical connector for power.

Power at connector and ground check out the pump when south
