1998 4WD Chev Blazer - Heater working but lukewarm

Hey all.

I've got a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer 4WD that has about 90K miles on it. The heater just puts out lukewarm heat.

I changed the thermostat & antifreeze, but to no avail.

A coworker of mine said it might be the heater control valve, but wasn't sure. Also, couldn't find the location for it on the component search via autozone. Com

Any other ideas / suggestions on what to do next?

Thanks.

I would suggest getting a service manual for the vehicle. Available from auto parts store about $20 or look a public library. This is a control cable problem.

Bruce,

I looked here on 2carpros after I posted my question & no similar situation answer was a control cable. They all pointed to heater core, control valve, etc. Where's the control cable & how do I change it?
