How do you change the starter on a z71 chevy truck

First disconnect the negative battery terminal. Remove the 2 nuts on the starter solenoid then remove the 2 wires, one will be real fat and the other one small. Then remove the 2 starter mounting bolts. The starter will come right out. Do the reverse to install. Hope this helps.
