I replaced my water pump yesterday and today driving it I noticed a large amount of coolant was leaking from the bottom of the truck.

Does this mean the water pump is not fitted correctly?

Also the steering locked up as soon as I was pulling into the drive way with a little bit of steam coming out of the hood. I wonder if this has something to do with the belt when I put it back on?

Hi there,

The first thing to do is to get the coolant leak identified, best to go get a cooling system pressure test, this may well be related to the water pump replacement, check this first.
