Transmission problem
1996 Chevy Truck V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I have replaced the brake switch and the safety neutral switch what would be my next step or guess as my truck is stuck in park and will not shift from park when truck is started and and brake is applied. Is there a solenoid in the steering coloumn or does the ignition switch have anything to do with this circuit? What is the best way to test to see what is causing this problem?
Also it is parked in my driveway which is an inclineso I don't know if this would be the cause of the problem. Please help and send me in the right direction.

If the incline is too much, the parking pawl inside of the transmission may be locked too tight. Simply rocking the truck may do the trick. Test for voltage at the brake switch and the neutral safety switch.
