1995 Chevy Truck fuel filter changing

I am going to change my fuel filters on my 95 chevy dually deisel, Will I need to prime it after changing the filters?
There is a filter on top of the head and one on the frame is that normal for a 95 deisel?

Yes the diesel should have one on the head as well and you will have to priem it up, crank the engine for 10-15 seconds, then wait one minute for the starter motor to cool. Repeat until clear fuel is observed coming from the air bleed on the fuel filter/separator.
