My S-10 will only crank every now and then. It turns over with no problem. I even took it to the chevy dealership and they said it was the fuel pump relay switch, then they said it was the ignition module. It was'nt the fuel pump relay after all, after they installed it and of course, I had to pay them for a mistake. I thought it was moisture in my tank so I added some heet but that did not work either.

Now I am concermed that the chevy place may install the module and it may not work either, I am skeptic of them. $ 590 to install a module. Any suggestions on this problem? Thank you.

No, not the coils. Just the ignition module. I decided to install it myself to save some money. Like I said the dealer wanted close to $600 bucks. I bought a duralast ignition coil from auto zone and I can get the money back at least if it doe'snt work.

I hope the chevy dealer diagnosed the correct problem this time. If not I am going to demand the diagonostic fees they charged me for back.

OK I HAD A BRAIN FART, WHEN REPLAING THE MODULE YOU REALLY WANT TO REPLACE THE COILS ALSO, IT IS REALLY EAY TO DO, JUST JACK THE RIGHT FRONT OF THE TRUCK UP LOOK INSIDE THE WHEEL WELL AND THERE IS A SMALL PIECE OF RUBBER, PULL THAT BACK AND YOU WILL FIND THE COILS, .5. MM SOCKET IF I REMEMBER RIGHT, AND THE MODULE IS BOLTED TO THE BOTTOM OF THE COILS, EVERY 2.2 I EVER DIAGNOSED WITH ONE OR THE OTHER I WILL REPLACE BOTH, SHOULD ONLY COST YOU 200 BUCKS TO DO IT YOURSELF, JUST LABEL YOUR WIRES SO YOU KNOW WHERE THEY GO BACK
