Tires and Wheels problem
1994 Chevy Truck V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

At low speeds I get a rubbbing type noise similar to the noise you get when your power steering pump is going out, but this noise seems tobe coming from the front wheel/s. When I ease on brakes the noise stops. I have changed brake pads so that is eliminated. Help!

IF possible for you, raise the truck off the ground and put it in gear while another person listens and checks at each wheel. Before running it, try just turning it manually to see if it is present.

When I think of a power steering pump noise it is usually a whine. Is this a squeal?

Things I think of are the dust sheild rubbing on the rotor, calipers not returning well, lack of cleaning and lubeing the caliper, not doing anything to the rotor, (ideally replacement).
