This problem getting my truck started has progressed over the past four days. The fuel system in the truck is TBI, and and after each time I turn over the motor it starts like it is getting fuel but then just dies. After each time turning over the ignition I hear the fuel pump and and after about nine tries it stays running and runs great. The fuel pump was replaced four years ago and I replaced the fuel filter and air filter two days ago and no difference or change. Can you lead me in the right direction?

Start with the basics, and work your way up, Last tune up was? Wires plugs ALL filters? If all that is ok, check for a stuck EGR, then test fuel pump pressure, If it won't restart, determine what's missing, the engine needs three things to run, Spark at all plugs, gas to all cylinders, and compression in all cylinders, tho an engine may run lacking one in one cylinder, it won't run very well!

We need to find out if it's gas or spark related...
