1994 Chevy Suburban, automatic, 220k miles. Suddenly speedometer doesnt work, and ABS light comes on after vehicle rolls. 1st and second gears work when shifted manually, but drive and overdrive act as 1st gear. Also happened a couple weeks ago after an interior shampoo, but went away. Probobly got electronics wet somewhere. Codes say "speed control" and "brake switch stuck off." I'm about to replace the speed control, but it seems that's just temporarily fixing one of the symptoms. I cant drive faster then second gear and need help asap. Thank you!

Bought new speed control yesterday, but truck worked fine again before I installed it. Then this morning the problem was back, so I turned heater on max and let run for about 45 minutes. Works fine again. The air here is very humid and I think after the initial water damage to an electronic part, it is sensitive to humidity. I also think since the speed control wasn't working, the ABS sensors were getting different speed readings than the speed control, turning the ABS warning light on. 8)
