1993 Chevy Truck my 3500 diesel stalls at random

1993 Chevy Truck V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

my 3500 diesel stalls at random times. Sometimes it will restart right away other times I need to wait 2 minutes and yet other times I must wait 20 minutes. This is my first diesel truck and have no idea what the problem is please help.

Your problem sounds like fuel filters to me, when is the last time you changed your fuel filters?

Sounds like what I like to call it the black box on side of injection pump 4 screws 1 plug

Yes I hate that black box, I try not to think about it, my 94 Chevy 1 ton had the identical problem. I spent $283 on the black box, but it was not the black box, my 1 ton had two fuel tanks and the valve that switches the tanks was causing me The identical problem, as the black box. I have lots of these diesels. My favorite ones are the nonelectronic.
