Well my problem is that my truck was running fine then yesterday morning I went to start it up and it will not run right. The rpm's will just go from nearly stalling back up to 1500. It will continue to do this even when I put it in to gear. It will hardly respond to gas unless it is in park. If I rev the engine up to 2000+ rpms it will go back to idle but on stay there for roughly 10 seconds. I checked the fuel line, fuel fitler, fuel pressure, replaced the ignition coil, and checked the ignition module. Now, I am stumped as to what to do. Please help.

Thanks

No. I did try a new egr valve and a new idle air valve and neither one worked.

This is a tough one. Have you checked to make sure the catylatict converter isn't plugged or in the process of plugging?

No. Not yet. I was told to check the vacuum hoses first. I checked but I might have a small leak. I will check the cat. Converter next and post what I find out.

Thanks
