1990 Chevy Truck V8 Two Wheel Drive Manual

My truck wouldn't start in the cold this am. The battery load-tests okay for the temperature it is out there, (5),
so how do I determine for sure if it's the battery, starter, or cables? I don't want to change parts on a guess.

If the battery load tested good, then it is fine. Is the starter engaging? Also, make sure the battery terminals are clean and tight.

Let me know what you find.

I have a "toaster" load tester from a chinese tool sale. It gave me a good enough reading to blame the starter. At my auto parts store, the guy put a good digital tester on it, and it only showed 330 amps. Then I noticed the mfg date on the side of the battery, and it said January of 2000! On a 75 month Napa battery! Two weeks shy of ten years! So I bought another one and all's well.
