Hello, I have a 1989 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24, 2.8 V6 multi port fuel injection. Can someone tell me how to adjust the idle speed higher. When I adjust the screw on the throttlebody, the idle speed goes up and works good, but shortly after I think the computer and sensors take over and lower the idle speed again. It's idling at aroung 500 rpm in park/neutral and because of that, sometimes it stalls when coming to a stop.
Thankyou for any help you can give me.

I had the same problem with my yukon. Try spraying and wiping out the depost in the carb/throdle bodie opening. It worked for me. My truck runs like new now. Carb/throdle bodie spray cost 3-5 dollors at autozone or Orylies. Hope this helps. Might try this before replacing anything. Its a lot cheaper.

Spraying carb cleaner into a throttle body has nothing to do with adjusting the throttle blade. The responder stated that they had the same problem, they could not have since they never explained how to adjust the idle speed as asked.
