1978 Chevy Truck Are my hubs broken?

Ok, so today I got stuck in a grass field. Got out locked the hubs, while in 4wd I heard a thump come from the front end, my front wheels stopped turning. When I got towed out I could hear a nasty clunk clunk, when moving. So I did some tests, and after a few minutes of doing this I have found that the sound only happens when the right hub is locked. What is this, PLEASE HELP. I also have noticed that when I put it in 4low I can feel it is engaged and I notice how the engine revs like it is in 4wd.

I was wrong, the noise happens when both hubs are locked. And it sounds like a bar banging around.
