I have a 94 S-10 Blazer 4x4 4.3l Vortec CPI with 124,000 miles. Car started running rough when my fiance took it on an hour drive. At stops lights the car would idle rough and shut off. She got it home by restarting it and it hasnt ran since. I replaced plugs, wires, distributor cap, ignition coil, rotor button, fuel pressure regulator, fuel injector, map sensor, and the fuel filter. I have spark and great fuel delivery, I have checked the timing and its good. Diagnostics show code 12, engine will turn over but wont start. I have no clue what else it could be besides a fuel pump or catalytic converter and would greatly appreciate some knowledge on this situation.

Code 12 is a lack of engine speed reference. Try a crankshaft position sensor, it is located in the bottom of the timing cover if your engine has a plastic top on the intake instead of aluminum ( there are 2 differnet CPI units- early and late) otherwise it could be the ign module or pick-up coil in the distributor not seeing the engine turning
