We were on a trip we got out of the car everything was fine when we got back in the car had smoke in it and it smelt like burnt wires. Now I have no power to my drivers door at all, including power mirrors, dome lights and power locks. Any sugestions?

There was nothing else wrong. All the wires that run under the sill of the drivers door burnt and caused loss of power to the drivers door. I just wanted other people to know that this is a known problem for the trailblazers, and how to fix it. Most people would think they needed to take it to the dealer and you don't. Also if you do have to change the control on the drivers door you do NOT need to take it to a dealer to have it reprogramed, the reason the new one won"t work is, when the controler went bad it blows the ddm (drivers door module) fuse under the back seat, all you have to do is change that and you should be back in buisness.
