My driver side window switch stopped functioning. This affected window and lock control and my dome light no longer comes on when the door is opened.

I ordered and received a replacement switch module. It too is not working. Is there something I need to do to make the new one work or could there be another point in the circuit path that is the real problem?

Thanks,

Bruce

You have to have the drivers door module reprogrammed, which is the window switch, if you dont program it, it will not work. Post back with any other questions.

Hello Brian,

Thank you for replying.

Will I need to take the car to a dealer to get the door module reprogrammed or can I do this myself?

Will other types of shops be able to handle the job or must it be a dealer shop?

Thanks,

Bruce

Its not something you could do yourself, you need a tech 2 scan tool to reprogram it. Normally the dealer is the only one that can reprogram it, but there are some independent shops that have the equipment to do so, if you dont want to take it to the dealer you can always call around to see if they can do it and if its cheaper, if not the dealer is the only on. Good luck brian
