My Blazer keeps dying when it gets warm but it is not overheating. It started running rough so we had the fuel pump and filter replaced. Shortly after that I had to replace the manifold gasket and thermostat. It was after this that it started dying everytime it reaches normal temperature. When it dies I have to let it sit for 20-30 mins. And then it would run (roughly) long enough to get me home. One time the engine light came on and gave them a lean fuel code. They checked the pressure in the fuel system and said it was fine. They found two vaccuum lines that were broken and fixed those. My car dies for me, but not for the mechanic. So they can't figure out what's wrong with it. Someone suggested it may be the mass air flow sensor, but I hesitate to put anymore money into my car without knowing what's wrong. Any suggestions would be helpful.

We have the same problem with our 2000 Trailblazer. Have you figured yours out? We just replaced the fuel pump a couple of months ago, but our fuel guage is already fluttering up and down again, and like you, I'd like to know what's wrong before we fork out anymore money (we've already put in almost what it's worth).

It turns out it was the fuel pump. After a summer of breaking down everywhere I finally took it to the dealer and they positively diagnosed it as the fuel pump. I took it back to the place that originally replaced it and made them replace it again and refund the money I paid the dealer to diagnose it. Although after speaking with them I don't believe for a minute that they replaced it to begin with. I just got the car back last night and it seems to be running ok but I'm not convinced yet. Through all of this the one other thing that I was told could also cause the same symptom was the mass air flow sensor. I replaced that and it didn't make a difference but it might be worth a try for you.
