Chevy Suburban trouble

I have a 1994 Chevy Suburban and my interior dash lights went out and when I went to change the fuse it blew immediatley.I put in a bigger fuse and now when I flip the headlights on the heater control goes out but when the headlights are off the control stays on. The dash lights don't work either way though. Any thoughts?

Had a stereo system removed about a month ago. All factory now

Well thanks to anyone who replied but we had the problem fixed. Turns out it was the cap and roater was soaked and the wet got into the distrubutor and the plugs were fouled because of all the trying to start it so many times. If this helps anyone esle
