2007 Chevy Tahoe Four Wheel Drive

My steering wheel turns very hard, I was told that I need to fill it with power steeing fluid. My question is: Do I have to heat up my chevy before I put in fluid or does my truck have to be cold? It is minus 40 here in alaska. Thank you

Minus 40. Good greif.

The fluid indictor will have a cold setting and hot stting level, so it can be checked either way.

Unfortunately there is no obscenely cold level mark ;-)
