I just replaced the front speakers on my Tahoe. They worked fine for about a week. Now, the front left speaker does not work. The tweeter does not work either. One other thing, when you lock the doors (electric locks) it does not chime. It used to. Are the two connected? How can I fix the problem?
Thanks
Rob

Hi, Rob.

The chime comes through the affected speaker, so that makes sense that you wouldn't hear it. Have you removed the door panel to inspect the wiring to the speaker to make sure nothing is disconnected or shorted?

I attached the directions for the removal of the door panel. This is where I would suggest starting. Remove the panel and confirm there is nothing disconnected or damaged as far as the wiring is concerned.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
