2002 Chevy Tahoe cutting off

My truck will often jsut cut off but it will start right back up. What could be making it do that. The check engine light is not on and the diagnostic cannot locate anyl problem. When turn on my air conditioner or heater the engine loses power and begins to miss

The AC and defroster turn on the AC compressor, so there will be a slight loss of power. However, it shouldn't miss. Is this the original engine? If so, have they checked compression? Also, has anyone checked the crank sensor?
