1999 Chevy Tahoe Smells like a gas station
1999 CHEVROLET TAHOE
I just had the fuel pump replaced 2/09 and since I got it back it smells like a gas pump from 5 feet away. My mechanic says it shouldn't be my fuel pump since I see no fuel leakage. Any ideas?
have the same problem?

No check engine light on. Thanks I will mention that when it goes back to him. Could it be anything from the fuel pump replacement? Since that is when the smell began.

Could be if the hosess are misrouted or cracked or its not sealed right when fuel pump was replaced.
