1999 Chevy Tahoe fuel gauge

I have a 99 chevy tahoe and the gas gauge osillates back and forth very very fast. What is causing this and what is the repair?

This is very common. The fuel level sensor inside the fuel tank causes this. The repair is to drop the tank and replace the entire fuel pump assembly. This issue will not hurt the performance of the engine, and it is very expensive to fix.
