1999 Chevy Tahoe Clunk when take off and or stop

Ok a few things. My tahoe has been clunking when taking off and stopping. Just a clunk then its fine. Dont know if has something to do with my front end or not because my 4wd is also messed up ill put in 4 and it engages but makes a grinding clunking sound. 2 friends said splines want to say. 2 more friends said whole front end. Another friend said look at crosmember and see if it lines up with something or another. Idk what to do and I dont want to go and spend money for something thats not broke. Please help

Take it to a pro and have him take a look at it. Your friends are guessing and you will end up spending money on stuff that may not be bad. The pro wil tell you what is what and how much it will cost. Or you can decide to do it yourself.

Yeah probably will next couple paychecks just gonna drive the good ol 88 sierra and wait to get tahoe tags. If I can know what problem is I have someone to help.
