Electrical problem
1999 Chevy Tahoe V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I hooked up a old trailer to my truck and it blu the parking light fuse, I un hooked it and replace the fuse. Now thats fine. BUT The hassered lights nor the two back break lights will work. The 3rd light uptop works fine with break.
I checked all the fuses, bulbs, under hood. The blinkers work, the parking lights work, the third light works, and the fuses are good. I felt around the break swich but I dont know what to try next. Please help.

The lower brake lites are wired through the turn signal switch. The high-mount brake lite isn't wired that way.

Use something heavy on the brake pedal, check for voltage at the yellow wire, at the rear. If there is no voltage, see if you can find the proper wire where it comes out of the steering column, check for voltage. The lower brake lites and turn signal use the same bulb filament, just not at the same time.
