I have been waiting on my multi function switch to come in so I could replace it because of having no brake lights. I went to disconnect the negative and some idiot prior to my mom owning it stripped out the 8mm bolt that goes into the battery. So I fought with it for a little while and had no luck getting it out. I drove the tahoe to autozone to buy a new battery bolt and tried to undo it again in the parking log of autozone. I got a smaller wrench and tried to tap it down on there and I didnt get it to work so I went to crank it up and nothing. I got my wife to bring my truck over there and jump it off and still nothing. It will turn over about 1/4 time and click click click click.
This dang truck is getting aggrivating. One thing after another

If I understand your post correctly, maybe you can use a screwdriver shank between the battery cable and battery, put some outward tension on the cable, then try to back-out the bolt. In some cases, I cut the battery cable end, off, get a new cable, and battery where necessary.

Ok, long story made short I bought a new negative battery cable and ended up having to buy a new batter. Problem solved.
Now maybe I can fix the "no brake light issue".
I will update my other topic about the brake lights when I replace that multi function switch.
