Engine Cooling problem
1998 Chevy Tahoe V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

Replaced leaking oil cooler gasket. Gasket kit from Dealer has larger O-ring and small flat disk (paper type gasket). The disk fits over the 2 bolts that secure housing to block and also lines up over smaller diameter internal part of cooler that extends into block. There was not a disk in the cooler when I dropped it down. Is the disk for this application (98 Tahoe, 5.7, 4WD) or is it only for limited applications?
