Oil and temperature gauge start moving. Oil drop to zero and temp went near 230 then drop back near normal. When I stop then step on the gas the check gage light flashes then go out or punch the gas while moving it lights up again?

Hello, My tahoe's temperature gauge jumps straight to the highest reading on the gauge and I just started the truck. Now my heat is not getting cold either what do you think?

Hello

To better assist you I want to make sure for one we are on the same engine. You said a V8, is it a 5.7L and is the 8th digit of your VIN R?

Next, I want to make sure I understand your question. You said, right when you start the truck the temp gauge goes right to the highest reading?

The second part I don't understand what you mean. What do you mean you heat is not getting cold either?

As for the first part - do you have plenty of antifreeze in the system?

Please answer the above to better assist you.

The fuel, oil and temp gauge in my truck keep monitoring (stay on) even when the key is removed. The battery, it seems, was drained because of this. Please Help!
