1998 Chevy Tahoe door frame

I have a 1998 chevy tahoe and when I try to shut the door it doesnt close all the way unless I really shut it hard. How can I align it back to its right place

Make sure the latch striker is not loose. If not open door and make sure it has no vertical play (hinges).

If OK then spray door latch, hinges with lithium grease.

Check weather stripping, see if it is loose and binding.

If problem persists, remove interior door panel and latch and replace latch.
