1997 Tahoe PLASTIC Fuel Tank AVAILABILITY WOES

I cannot locate a new plastic fule tank for my Tahoe due to the fact that it is a 4 dr. It has a leak somewhere on it. I guess I can get one from GM at 3-4 times the cost of an aftermarket one. But I really don't want to have to do that.

Also has anyone ever patched one of these plastic tanks and if so, what product did you use?

Well, I dropped the tank myself and learned that the tank was not the problem. The return line connected to the tank has a split in it. I am replacing the two lines at a cost of approx. $240.00. The job will go back together easily.

P.S. I noticed that I had 30 views tomy problem, but no replies. That's interesting.
