1996 Chevy Tahoe wont start

Engine cranks a couple times and seems to lock up then cranks a couple more times and semms to lock up took off serpentine belt did not make a difference pulled the cap engine turned over fine pulled the plugs turned over fine plugs were black and wet whats the next step

Sounds like your not getting any spark. Check for spark. The fuel is locking up the pistons because it may be not firing. Check the ignition module for proper operation. Autozone or a place like that will do this for free. If the plugs are black and wet change them, however DO NOT use any other plug but A/C delco or autolite. For some reason any other plug will not perform in these high power ignition systems. If you change the plug wires you must use A/C delco. Aftermarket wires for these engines are junk.
If you have spark then let me know there are a few other things it could be. Let me know how you make out.

BTW is this engine fuel injected?
