I got this site from a member of Yahoo Answers. Can you please email me step by step instructions on how to change a intake manifold gasket on my Tahoe? I am mechanically inclined. Thanks.

I do suggest purchasing a repair manual for this repair for the simple fact there is torque values and/or proceedures that must be followed.
The repair is pretty simple. Disconnect the engine wiring harness and all the stuff that is in the way of removing the lower intake manifold. Remove the distributer then the manifold and reverse the proceedure. The only special tools you need are -- a deepwell 10mm socket -- an inch/lbs torque wrench -- a distributer wrench -- as well as a metric socket set.
