1996 Chevy Tahoe 4X4

When I push the 4 Hi the light just blinks and I dont know if it going into gear. Please help!

No, it isnt engaging, that is why the light continues to blink. Recently my tahoe did the samething and I found out that it was a part called the "inner shaft" on the passenger side. It had snapped. Thats my best guess for you
